The story follows a fire-breathing, human-hating dragon raised by a mother cat in a forest. The dragon, known affectionately as "Uncle Wing," watches over the many curious cats — such as one that goes on an adventure with a human prince, and another that lives in the city and people-watches as a hobby — and gradually warms up to humans along the way. Season picksWorth a lookSummer 2026A whimsical fantasy about a dragon raised by a kindly cat after his mother is slain, growing into the protector of magic spirit-cat kind against human poachers. Gorgeous, and a real change of pace from RPG-style fantasy. Impossible to recommend enough for anyone wanting something different.
Worst of the seasonBad but funSummer 2026One of the season's gems: a wholesome, cuddly fantasy romp that feels like a fairy tale come to life. An easy recommendation for cozy fantasy fans.
