The verdict
Senpai’s take
SequelsMust watchFall 2026A direct continuation of season 2 and the first of a planned movie trilogy taking Riko and Reg toward the bottom of the abyss, so it is required viewing for fans. Made in Abyss is one of the best anime of all time, but not quite a must-watch because the brutal things that happen to its children are not for the faint of heart.
