Season picksMust watchWinter 2024A sad salaryman buys a talking Java sparrow that is secretly a banished fantasy sage, and starts selling dollar-store goods to medieval nobles until a secret psychic shadow government drags him into danger on Earth. The double-length first episode is deceptively slow in its first half, so push through. Fun, weird, fresh and funny; do not sleep on it.
