"This party does not need a useless magician who can only use support magic. You are fired, Alec Huguette." One day, Alec, a court magician who had been chaperoning the Crown Prince's dungeon-crawling party, was suddenly fired and banished from the court by the prince. The only one who reached out to him is Yoruha, his former party member from their Academy of Magic days, that had split up four years ago. "Hey Alec— would you like to come explore dungeons with us again?" Thus the legendary "Lasting Period" party was revived, and the name will soon became known all over the world once again.

Season picksDecentFall 2025A competent mage is banished from the party, this time by an arrogant crown prince rather than a hero, which costs him his social rank too. Even by the low standards of banished-from-the-party shows, this one is pretty all right and more fun than expected with politics and paperwork getting in the way. More interesting than another bully-revenge manifesto.
Worst of the seasonBad but funFall 2025It swerves the banished-from-the-party genre's dumbest tropes with a semi-plausible class rule for why he was overlooked, and a prince who actually reflects on his class privilege. The party has a great ride-or-die friend dynamic, including a male friend as cool as the hero, creative fighting styles and good-looking fights. Possibly the single best one of these things ever made, low bar acknowledged.
