Senpai’s take
Season picksMust watchSpring 2024A remake of the classic fantasy adventure and medieval economics lecture from the original director, promising to finally finish the story after 15 years. It restores an arc the old anime skipped that turns out to be essential, hews closer to the books' plot and art, and gets a full rescore. Some of the most immersive low-fantasy worldbuilding in anime and some of the best-realized characters in any medium, perfect for anyone left wanting after Frieren.
