SequelsMust watchSpring 2026The first new entry in the realest real robot franchise in over two decades, following new mecha cops facing population decline and AI automation nearly 40 years after the original. A bold move for a series loved for its original cast, but hopefully it keeps the down-to-earth, small-stakes stories where Patlabor is most fun, since this is the first film of a trilogy.
