Yani is a catgirl with a seriously bad smoking habit. She smokes so much that her apartment smells like ash and is littered with cigarette butts—and plenty of other trash! Every time she tries to quit, she becomes weak to the cravings and gives in almost instantly. Will she ever get her life together, or is she doomed to live as a chainsmoking slob forever?

Season picksMust watchSummer 2026A pitch-black comedy about Yaniko, a wretched paycheck-to-paycheck catgirl whose only escape is a filthy smoking habit, and the kind sister and coworkers she spits tar at. Bouncy, characterful animation and whip-sharp comic timing, like Hosoda directing a vicious South Park episode. Viscerally unpleasant and unapologetically nasty; wonderfully so, but it will gross out anyone who wants cream and sugar in their comedy.
Worst of the seasonBad but funSummer 2026A disgusting anime about chain-smoking, heroin-shooting, binge-drinking cat girls trapped by both a society that discriminates against beastfolk and their own endless bad choices. Not an empathetic portrayal of poverty, but an authentic one, with schadenfreude that hits different. Not for everyone, but every episode is rolling-on-the-floor funny.
