Luck, an S-rank mage in the hero’s party, makes a last stand against the Demon King to save his companions. Season picksDecentSummer 2026OP copy magic lets the hero beat every demon and their king during a decade stuck in a pocket dimension, coming out ten years younger. A very typical power fantasy, but his genuine friendship with his old party is smile-inducing enough to make it worth recommending.
Worst of the seasonBad but funSummer 2026A hero who spent a decade holding back demons gets de-aged and a second shot at life, including a lovely bromance with his best friend and some romance options. Appealingly lighthearted, low stakes and confident in its character writing without contrived bullying to earn sympathy. A cool fun guy with cool fun friends, a nice contrast to generic lit-RPG fare.
