Akira Oda and his high school classmates are summoned to another world! While the other students are granted cheat abilities through the summoning, Akira merely gains the abilities of a mediocre “assassin.” However, his status soon surpasses “hero,” the strongest profession. After Akira becomes suspicious of the King behind the summoning, he is falsely framed for a crime and forced to flee.

Season picksMust watchFall 2025A wallflower summoned with his class gets a stealth assassin class and secretly helps a knight captain plot a coup against the corrupt king. It refreshingly treats violence with real moral weight and asks whether isekai killers could ever return home, a thoughtful turn on edgelord isekai like Failure Frame. Espionage and revolution plus real production polish make it stand out in a crowded genre.
Worst of the seasonBad but funFall 2025Sunrise gives it a gorgeous, classic fantasy OVA look that sells both the giant beastgirl cuddling and the power fantasy. Early episodes rush, with episode 4 a story mess despite a great sword fight, but by episode 5 it settles. Competent classmates and a protagonist who actually wants to go home earn it a joint rating of three waste baskets plus two dumpsters.
