Season picksMust watchSpring 2025A new adaptation of Anne of Green Gables, the orphan girl with a boundless imagination on Prince Edward Island, following Takahata's classic 1979 series. A breathtaking watercolor-come-to-life art style and warm music from Michiru Oshima, with fluid animation that makes up for the shorter runtime. Brings tears at the beauty of the everyday through Anne's eyes, and could easily be one of the year's best.
