Season picksMust watchSummer 2025A girl who loves jewelry goes into the mountains to collect gems and meets a mineralogy grad student who gets her hooked on rocks. Studio Bind blends Mushoku Tensei's earthy naturalism with Onimai's elastic comedy, plus a lovingly animated rump, real mineral facts and a sense of awe at geologic time. Moe hangout anime only get better when KyoAni makes them.
Worst of the seasonDecentSummer 2025Sweet as cake rather than trashy: a powerfully uplifting and impressively educational moe slice-of-life comedy about mineralogy. Well worth watching for the rocks, the laughs and the 'geology.'
