Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji aren't from Cephiro. While on a school field trip to the Tokyo Tower, the three girls' minds are on anything but different worlds filled with magic and wonder. That is, until Princess Emeraude, the Pillar of Cephiro, cries out for the Magic Knights to save her world--and that just happens to be those three!

Season picksMust watchFall 2026The long-awaited remake of the classic shojo mecha isekai, keeping the 1993 setting and Tokyo Tower. Utterly gorgeous and more faithful to the manga, but the saturated colors lose the original's ethereal hand-painted vibe and the kept chibi gags drag out the intro. Still a very good anime, just not as good as the 90s version yet.
