Senpai’s take
Season picksMust watchWinter 2026A novelist takes in the niece of the sister she hated after the sister dies, and both work through grief using flights of fancy. It is pensive and profound about loss and loneliness but still fun with a deeply charming cast. It has the most subtly real dialogue since Odd Taxi and is as good as anime gets.
