Jun Shirasaki’s love life takes a wild turn when he finds himself caught between the Jinguji twins—his childhood friends who are as different as night and day. Rumi, the older sister, pairs a boyish charm with a maiden’s heart, while Naori combines girlish looks with her deep love for otaku culture. As feelings grow and confusion mounts, Jun must navigate this unexpected love triangle next door.

Season picksDecentSummer 2024Twin sisters, one a gyaru otaku and one a tomboy, fall for the same childhood friend. The story is low-key stupid, but the cinematic, classy, horny presentation elevates the material.
Worst of the seasonBad but funSummer 2024Twin sisters, a bratty gyaru otaku and a popular tomboy, love the same boy next door, and one dumps him in episode one to order him to date the other. The otaku dialogue is genuinely good character writing that reveals who connects and who does not, but it serves some of the most aggravatingly inexplicable melodrama around. Hooked anyway: three flaming dumpsters full of therapy bills.
