"I want to find what I enjoy." Shibuya is a city full of identity. It is here on Shibuya’s late night streets that illustrator Mahiru Kozuki, former idol Kano Yamanouchi, Vtuber Kiui Watase and composer Mei Kim Anouk Takanashi — four young women who are slightly outside the world — join together and form an anonymous artist group called JELEE. “I” also want to shine like someone else. If it's not me but “we” then we might be able to shine.

Senpai’s take
Season picksMust watchSpring 2024A former illustrator who quit after mockery and a scandal-hit idol now singing anonymously online team up as independent artists in Shibuya, like A Place Further Than the Universe but chasing creative dreams. The music, animation, storyboarding, acting and art direction come together in one of the best original anime in years. Worth a HIDIVE subscription on its own, and a Doga Kobo original likely to be talked about for years.
